MMA COACH AT JOHN DONEHUE JIU JITSU AND MMA

Chris’s interest in martial arts begun at a young age and over many years he has accumulated experience in Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Freestyle/Greco-Roman Wrestling, and Brazilian JiuJitsu. His skill set is broad due to his focus on many different styles with numerous coaches spanning over two decades.

With over ten years of experience working in the security industry as a doorman, as well as body guarding, Chris has a detailed understanding of the self defence applications of martial arts and he keenly passes on that knowledge to his students.

Since 2002, Chris has been studying the sport of MMA and he currently works as a martial arts writer and technical analyst for various outlets.

As a competitor, Chris has won multiple Gold Medals in both Gi JiuJitsu and No-Gi Grappling Competitions, his achievements include:

— ADCC Melbourne Open Heavyweight Gold Medalist

— AGC Open-Weight BJJ State Champion

— AFBJJ Heavyweight State Champion
